How To 360 With Grabs On A Snowboard
Grabbing your board throughout a 360 looks and feels awesome! It immediately up's the ante of your standard Frontside and Backside 360s because by adding a grab, your spins look more stylish and controlled. It ties a connection between your upper and lower body so that everything rotates together at the same time. Learn how to add some basic grabs into your 3s with this tutorial!

Start With Your Most Comfortable Grab
Take a grab you like to do with your 180s and try adding that to your 360. It doesn’t matter which grab you do, just start with whatever you find the easiest and see how it feels. If you don’t know where to start, try grabbing Melon or Indy as they are very common for a lot of people both Frontside or Backside spins.
Melon. A great go to grab!
The Biggest Key To Success
The key for all grabs is to be compact in the air, bringing your knees up towards your chest. A strong pop off the lip of any jump helps you to be compact in the air. The grab is done entirely in the air so your approach line and take off should be the exact same weather you are grabbing a 3 or not.
Staying compact allows you to grab easily and style it out!
More Training
Spinning with grabs on a trampoline is an easy way to build muscle memory because it allows you to practice hundreds of times in a very short period. Try out all 6 of the main grabs with Front and Back 3s. See if you can add some extra style with leg extensions.

Keep Learning New Grabs
It's not just about learning one or 2 grabs and sticking to them, make sure sure you challenge yourself to learn as many as possible. When doing 360s off real jumps, it’s difficult to learn all the main grabs so be sure to change it up and master a few different ones.

Nose and Tail Grabs are the most difficult while learning because of the compulsory leg movements needed, but they become some of the easiest grabs because you don’t need to be quite as compact through the air.
