Twin vs. Directional: Which One Wins in the Park?
In this video, Taevis compares a Directional Snowboard to a True Twin, breaking down where each board excels and where they might fall short.
Boards Tested:
• Twin: Nitro Team Pro 159 – True Camber, Flex 8/10
• Directional: Nitro Alternator 160 – True Camber, Flex 7/10
• Both boards were set up at reference stance with binding angles at -9°/+12°
Here’s what Taevis had to say:
“I was honestly surprised by how shreddable the directional board was. At first, I was hesitant on rails and nervous to throw switch tricks, but I realized a lot of that was mental. Once I found my flow, I was fully dialled in.
Usually, it takes me a couple of days to get used to a new setup, but the Alternator felt so good I ended up landing my first 1080 of the season—on my first day riding it in the park.”
