Pro's Love Our Gear Series: Katie Ormerod
If the name Katie Ormerod doesn't ring a bell for you or you are completely new to the world of snowboarding, Katie Ormerod was the first female to land a Backside Double Cork 1080! Did I mention she was only 16 at the time! She is also one of the few officially recorded ladies to throw a Double Backflip on a park kicker.

Training
By starting out as a gymnast, Katie was working on her balance, core strength and aerial awareness from an early age. Katie is a fan of using trampolines for her training, which gives her the confidence to huck her Backside Double Cork 1080's and Double Backflips.
Not only can Katie throw down on kickers, but her jib game is tight. Katie uses our Training Products, such as the Balance Bar to improve her presses, stalls and slides in her off-season. The Training Products are also great for the muscle memory of correct body position, making tricks easy for Katie to stomp when she takes them to the snow.
