Do Our Training Boards Work On The Mountain?
For fun we decided to send Taevis up the mountain with one of our Jib Boards. Here's what he has to say about the experience.
" It was a bad idea! I tried it 1 run last year and it was gnarly but doable. So I felt very confident coming into the day, BUt then I slammed so hard 3 times in the exact same way within 3 minutes. The snow was less slushy than last time and since there is no edges turning was just not an option. 3 slams with a lot of the run to go really hurt my confidence especially since I was dealing with a torn shoulder and ankle from the week before. But after those slams, I managed to not fall the rest of the run, and after that it got slushy and I could shred it pretty well! Still not as well as I was hoping, it turns out you need edges to do any spins on a snowboard, so I had to stick with straight airs and rails"
Would you recommend trying it?
" Noooooo, it is very hard and scary. That said it did bring a lot of smiles so I'll probably do it again haha "
