Balance Bar series extended!

This is the first edition of our intermediate jib tutorials, Balance Bar: Practice your snowboarding off the snow, so you can be perfect on the snow.

Free tutorial: Slides: Board | Nose | Blunt.

 Board Position

Once you master sliding directly between your bindings, as in Boardslides and Lipslides, it's time to start sliding on a different section of your board. There are countless slide possibilities to make stylish tricks.

Noseslides VS Bluntslides

A Noseslide is when you are sliding over the nose of your snowboard.

  • A Frontside Noseslide is when the jib is in front of you when approaching the feature, and you slide on the Nose of your Board. (Facing uphill)
  • A Backside Noseslide is when the jib is behind you  when approaching the feature, and you slide on the Nose of your Board. (Facing downhill)

Bluntslides are similar to Noseslides, however the entire board will go over the feature, before sliding.

  • A Frontside Bluntslide is when the jib is in front of you when approaching the feature, you jump over the feature and slide on the Tail of your board. (Facing uphill)
  • A Backside Bluntslide is when the jib is behind you when approaching the feature, you jump over the feature and slide on the Tail of your board. (Facing downhill)
